Today I have with me a Multi Instrumentalist, Pianist, Composer and Founder of Jazz for Peace™ Rick DellaRatta is considered by many to be one of the finest Singer/Pianists performing today and one of only a handful of Jazz Artists who can make a successful musical presentation to a large audience without having to abandon the true art form of Jazz. He has performed all over the world, and his achievements as a world class musician as well as his musical message through Jazz for Peace, were summed up when he was referred to as "Mr. Jazz" by former President George W. Bush and congratulated by former president Barack Obama. In this episode, we explore the art of learning and growing through curiosity, and delve into the challenges of balancing personal and artistic goals. From spiritual and intellectual rewards to finding a philosophy that works for you, we'll discuss how these elements contribute to the big picture of a fulfilling musical career, and any career for that matter. Learn how some musicians have overcome addiction by helping others through their art, the role of Stoicism in putting things in perspective, and the importance of enjoying the journey. Discover how inner wealth is the key to happiness, and how one musician's journey to bring peace through jazz began on 9/11, and expanded to a whole movement. Plus, we'll explore how living up to the standards set by others can raise your own bar, and how being a leader means helping others bring out their best for the benefit of the team. And we are getting our own private concert right here, in this episode. Thank you so much for sharing your LOVE for the Podcast by sharing it with Friends, Subscribing, Rating & Leaving a Review.
